Poker :: Moving on...
  submitted on October 16, 2006, 11:45 PM

Well, I've moved most of my funds out of PokerRoom. I was under the impression that they were going to continue to welcome US players to their site, as had been announced a few weeks ago. However, I went on their site today and checked their TOS and found a sentence explicitly stating that US players were not allowed to play. So, I have no idea what that means. I've left about $25 in there, and I'll probably keep playing there until I hear something definitive one way or the other. I'd probably give it up completely, but they're the only site with a Java app that allows you to play in a web browser, which is invaluable when I'm playing on the laptop on the weekends, since I don't have the ability to install other poker clients onto the computer. But I'd say outside of that, I probably won't play on there too much.

When my Neteller transfer completes, I'll probably move the funds to PokerStars, or maybe split it and put some at Stars and some at Full Tilt. I've never played at FTP before, but I created an account today, so we'll see. It's too bad, as I've had a mostly positive experience at PR, but what can you do? I want to keep playing poker, which means I need to play at places that will accept my money.
