Personal :: Never underestimate the power of the Free Sample
  submitted on July 14, 2006, 10:38 AM

People who know me know that I am a man of consistency. I enjoy reading the same book multiple times, watching the same movie five and six times, and going to eat at the same restaurants. Several times a week my lunch plans revolve around a #4 at Jimmy Johns. Next door to my JJ's of choice is a Chinese Restaurant called Silk Road. If the weather is nice, there is often someone out there with free samples. However, usually the person just stands there and makes no attempt to lure in any new customers.

Until yesterday.

After stopping in at Jimmy Johns for my Turkey Tom, I was stopped by a young lady offering free samples at Silk Road. Now who am I to turn down a free sample? I tried some of their spicy chicken, and I believe some kung pao beef. Well, let me just say that that was some damn good Chinese food. After also being given a menu, I decided I was going to have to break the monotany and check this place out for lunch. So, here I am after just finishing up a nice dish of spicy chicken and rice. All thanks to a little free sample.
