Personal :: And the beat goes on...
  submitted on December 5, 2005, 11:45 AM

Just a little semi-update to my previous entry...I played in a freeroll tournament yesterday. That means there's 2400 entrants, it's free to play, and Poker Room throws in $500 of prize money, top 40 cash. So obviously you don't play this expecting to finish in the money. I ended up doing quite well, actually, and finished 71st overall.

I probably could have made it a little further, but I was low on chips ($20,000 or so, average stack was around $38,0000), and got a KQo, so I went all-in, had a guy call me with AJo. Neither of us got anything from the table, so I got sent home. It was still uplifting, however, to be able to stay in a tournament for two and a half hours. I got some good cards, got lucky a few times. Hopefully I can hit up some S&Gs this week and start winning some more money.
