I don't think he could have possibly played that hand much worse short of pushing all-in on the turn. I'm sure he just thought he was so damn smart when he caught his miracle card on the river. While it's really too bad I didn't get more money from him on that hand, the reason behind it is I took the rest of it a few hands earlier:

(I really had to think about this one. I knew he didn't have a queen, and I was almost positive he didn't have a set. A flush is possible, although he didn't really didn't play it like one. If anything, a straight seems to be the most likely holding. But I just got a really weird vibe here like he was on a draw and was trying to buy the pot, so I called)

I was a 2:1 dog on the flop, but he kept me in the hand by not betting the flop and then just calling my bet. If you flop an OESD and a flush draw, you either bet out or check-raise in my opinion.

Then, he pairs his six on the turn, making me a 4:1 dog, and again, he doesn't bet. One, this allows me to save my money, and two, this lets me see a free river card. Also, this sets up my call on the river, where his actions on the flop and the turn really has me convinced he's very weak to the point that I actually call a pot-sized bet with second pair.

I really hate how he played both of those hands (Well, I personally don't, it netted me a buy-in), and really he shouldn't have been in the hands to begin with, calling preflop raises with connectors out of position.

Very nice session for me, though. A little over an hour, saw about a hundred hands, and left up over a buy-in and a half, for a nice BB/100 of 87.39. The best news for me, though, is that my numbers for 100NL (Full table) are now in the green for the first time...well, ever, I think. I'm still in the red overall, thanks to my poor performances in 6-max at 100NL and 50NL, but the way my sessions are going, maybe that will change in the near future. I've now been profitable in 7 of my last 8 sessions, and my one negative session was basically due to getting money in with top pair on the flop and losing on the river to a guy on an ace-high flush draw who hit his ace.

Who knows, maybe I'm getting this whole cash thing figured out (*Don't smite me poker gods!*).
