Poker :: Ignore the post below
  submitted on August 27, 2007, 11:40 PM

I realized what my cash game problem is. The limits I play are too low. All the soft games are above 100NL. Case in point. I sat down at the $1/$2 table to play with the bloggers. Third hand in I get Kings on the button:

So, I follow up my $200 pot with a $430 pot. Nice. 200NL is soft. I ran it up to about $500 at one point, but ended up cashing out at $400 after overplaying a couple hands. Still, not bad for an hour of work.

Looking back on the Aces hand with PokerStove, I was actually in better shape the whole time than I thought. I was 80% preflop, obviously. On the flop I was still a 65% favorite, and that went up to 75% on the turn. Good to know, I thought my equity was a little lower postflop.

I don't really have any intention of playing 200NL outside of doing it with the bloggers, but it was still pretty neat to make a killing there my first time around. Oh, and I'm finally back to being profitable with Aces. Woot!
